Terrifying footage shows several passengers forcibly holding him down as he is spread across several seats.

Those grappling him appear to be physically struggling to control the crazed flyer as he violently tries to get free.

One man can be seen holding the suspect‘s head down as he shakes it from side to side before his hands are tied behind his back with shoelaces.

The man allegedly began punching the seat in front of him before cracking a window with his foot.

Pictures of the aftermath show the window with cracks stretching both the length and width of it.

The area around it is also damaged and shoe scuff marks can be seen.

Victoria Clark, who was seated in the row in front, mentioned: “The flight attendants seemed to disappear – they went to seek assistance but I wasn’t sure where they had gone at that moment.

“It’s just me and this man and I start freaking out, having a panic attack.

“Tears, I start screaming for help, ‘Somebody come help us, I’m scared’.”

Victoria, who was flying with her three-year-old, was forced to move to escape the potential threat.

It was at this point that the man started to kick the window.

It took six men to hold him down, and he remained restrained for the remainder of the hour-and-a-half flight.

Victoria’s fiancée was among the group who pinned him down.

Police detained the man when the flight landed at Bush Intercontinental Airport at 11:10p.m.

As he was escorted away, he could be seen restrained in a wheelchair.

The damage to the window did not pose a threat to the safety of the plane, and it was able to finish its journey without issue.

It is not currently known what the motive was behind the man’s outburst.

Houston Police have not released the man’s name or given any reason for the outburst.

The Sun has contacted Frontier Airlines for comment.
