This weekend brings some well-known faces to streaming platforms, with Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum starring in the Apple TV+ movie Fly Me To The Moon, while Sabrina Carpenter hosts a holiday variety show on Netflix called A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter. For those looking for a new series to binge-watch, consider watching Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw in the spy thriller Black Doves on Netflix, or the crime comedy The Sticky on Prime Video. Additionally, Max offers a feature-length documentary titled Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, focusing on the life and work of the actor and activist Christopher Reeve.

This week, Netflix is introducing a variety of new content, but the highlight for many is A Nonsense Christmas With Sabrina Carpenter. Sabrina Carpenter, who is already a prominent figure on year-end Spotify playlists, now welcomes viewers to celebrate the festive season with her and some special guests. On Apple TV+, viewers can enjoy the romantic comedy-drama Fly Me To The Moon, a story revolving around a fake moon landing turning into a genuine love story. Meanwhile, Max presents a heartfelt homage to the legendary actor of the ’80s and ’90s with Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story.
This Friday at 9 PM ET, Sabrina Carpenter will showcase her Christmas variety show, A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter, premiering on Netflix. The program will feature musical collaborations with artists like Chappell Roan, Shania Twain, and Tyla, accompanied by comedic performances by Kyle Mooney, Megan Stalter, Quinta Brunson, and others.
Set during the space race in 1969, Fly Me To The Moon stars Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum as NASA employees tasked with creating a fake moon landing just in case the real one fails. The film, which had its theatrical release earlier this summer, arrives on Apple TV+ this week.
Christopher Reeve became an iconic movie star whose role as Superman turned him into a Hollywood icon. Reeve’s life dramatically changed however in 1995 when he was paralyzed from the neck down in a horse-riding accident. In the time after his accident, he became a disability rights activist and an inspiration, and in the new documentary Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, his children and many of his friends and colleagues reflect on the real-life super man’s legacy.
