The leaked footage from Riveroaks Elementary School in Louisiana shows the tods throwing punches at each other inside the classroom.
One child can be seen holding another kid’s collar and beating them up.
Another tod can be seen punching a fellow classmate mercilessly.
The teacher recording the footage was heard laughing in the video.
One of the kid’s devastated mother Olevia Robinson told WAFB how her four-year-old son was being pummeled.
The mum said the teachers claimed her son was having behavioural problems, but was then sent the disturbing videos before a parent-teacher meeting.
In another video, Robinson’s son was filmed being hit while a teacher recorded it.
When another student tried to break up the fight, the teacher said: “That ain’t got nothing to do with you.”
The mother explained that she had been informed her child was suspended for kicking another student. However, she was horrified when she actually saw the footage, which revealed her son being attacked in front of the teachers.
She expressed, “The teachers claimed they were attempting to document his conduct in the classroom, but the video failed to capture any misbehavior on my son’s part.
“It showed children that was hitting on him.”
Robinson alleged the videos were recorded weeks before she saw them.
She added that the teachers never told her about the video.
The mum is now looking for a new school for her little boy.
“He may have not been physically hurt, seriously hurt, but mentally he was hurt,” she said.
“Emotionally, he was hurt. His trust was hurt. He can’t trust anyone at the school.”
The school’s principal LaMont Cole said both the teachers involved have been placed on administrative leave and the incident is being investigated.
They added: “To view that behaviour by the adults in the classroom is beyond appalling, it’s beyond disappointing, and it’s downright disgusting.
“I want to convey to all the families out there that the actions of these two staff members who made poor choices should not tarnish the reputation of all the other dedicated employees who consistently do the right thing.”
Local parents told news outlet WBRZ that they were not surprised by the footage, adding bullying and fights were common in the school.
One grandparent said: “This happens all the time. My granddaughter was picked on last year because she’s very small and she wears glasses. And it’s like they stand there and watch them.
Another parent added: “My son has come home and told me multiple stories about how he has tried to stop fights on the playground and the teachers stand there and don’t do anything about it.”
