TWO British pensioners in their 80s have been found dead at a Costa Blanca home after their bodies reportedly lay undiscovered for days.
The police are currently investigating a case where the bodies of a man and a woman were discovered on Thursday afternoon at 3.30pm in a house located near the small town of San Fulgencio, which is about a 45-minute drive south of Alicante.

Police have confirmed the grim discovery and said they are awaiting the results of a post-mortem.
A spokesperson for the Civil Guard in Alicante mentioned last night that they received a report at around 3.30pm through the emergency 112 service about finding the deceased bodies of two individuals, both approximately 80 years old.
“Firefighters were at the scene along with local police from San Fulgencio when we arrived.
“The bodies have been transferred to Alicante’s Institute of Legal Medicine for the corresponding autopsy and full identification of both.”
It is known the dead pair were not man and wife but police investigators have not yet gone public with the nature of their relationship.
Authorities were alerted by staff from the social services department of the local council after attempts to reach the individuals went unanswered, and a part of a body was visible on the floor inside the residence.
The bodies of the pair, are believed to have laid undiscovered for several days.
Although the Civil Guard has not confirmed their nationalities, other sources confirmed local reports pointing to them being British.
No obvious signs a crime had taken place were found at the scene, although the autopsy results will now determine how the investigation progresses.
It is understood both the man and woman suffered chronic illnesses and had been categorised by social services as “vulnerable.”
The area where they were living is on a residential estate popular with foreign pensioners.
The nearest urban area of San Fulgencio is around six miles inland from the Costa Blanca seaside town of Guardamar a short drive from Torrevieja.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office has been approached for comment.
