DNA tests have now confirmed that a body found at the end of last year is that of the missing Brit.
Giles had last been seen on March 8 2023.
His flatmate called the cops when he got home and saw Giles’ beloved Husky dog Finn was alone.
Friend Dan Cleland shared that they are still waiting for all the details about the incident that took place, and the police have confirmed the sad news of Giles’ passing. Despite the uncertainties surrounding his departure, Dan chooses to celebrate Giles’ resilience in overcoming challenges and the positive impact he had on others.
“Giles was talented. He won a place at The Brit School, then launched himself into production in Soho across ads and promos.
“He landed a job at Sky Movies working his way up the world of digital media winning a Bafta for his work on Terry Pratchett’s Hogfather.”
Giles himself depicted his professional identity as a successful digital producer with numerous accolades, known for developing interactive projects for prominent British TV networks and cultural organizations worldwide.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
A design agency in Barcelona called LuzidLab, co-founded by Giles, paid tribute to him by highlighting his vibrant personality, charm, and unwavering enthusiasm that left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
“After working in the UK’s broadcasting industry, he moved to Barcelona in 2012, bringing his creativity and drive with him.
“Giles was committed to creating work that made a positive impact on society.
“Working with him was always fun, he inspired us to think big, dig deeper, and create work that we could all be proud of.
“His influence will remain with us, and we’ll carry his memory forward in everything we do. We hope our future projects reflect his spirit and make him proud.”
It comes after two Brit pensioners in their 80s were found dead at a Costa Blanca home after their bodies reportedly lay undiscovered for days.
Cops are now investigating after the bodies of the man and woman were found Thursday afternoon at 3.30pm at a home near the small town of San Fulgencio – a 45-minute drive south of Alicante.
