Peloton, the interactive fitness brand, has just unveiled its fitness and wellness trend forecasts. It introduced a new app, Peloton Strength+, on December 4, to assist individuals in achieving their strength-related goals in the upcoming year.
What to know about the Peloton Strength+ app
Expanding its fitness ecosystem, Peloton introduced the Strength+ app to revolutionize gym-based strength training in the digital era. This app, which is available exclusively on iOS, provides personalized workouts that cater to different objectives such as muscle building, endurance, or overall fitness. Featuring audio-guided instructions, the option to swap exercises, and compatibility with the Apple Watch for tracking progress, Strength+ empowers users to navigate gym equipment with ease.
Peloton instructor Joslyn Thompson Rule highlighted, “People realize the significance of strength training but often struggle with where to begin.” She recently rolled out a six-week novice program, Discover Strength, on the original Peloton app, aiming to address this common dilemma.
Often beginner programs start at an accessible level, but may not include foundational strength movements, Thompson Rule said in the press release. “With Discover Strength, we’ve stripped everything back to build fundamental movement patterns. For example, building stability and strength in a split squat to support lunges. There’s also push-up foundations and a dedicated mobility program within the program. This is so important as mobility gives you greater access to your range of motion and therefore strength.”
On Peloton Strength+, users can choose between self-paced custom routines or multi-week, coach-led programs, enhancing flexibility and personalization. Subscriptions start at $9.99/month after a six-month $1 introductory offer. The app is free to current Peloton app members.
