Fredericksen was involved in a head-on collision with the vehicle while driving along Highway Four in Santa Rosa, Florida.

A high school senior had previously won the title of Miss Okaloosa County Teen USA and established a nonprofit named Kadas Promise. The organization focused on providing stuffed animals and blankets to children who had experienced trauma or abuse.

Fredericksen was also a member of her school’s National Honor Society and dance team, Northwest Florida Daily News reported.

Fredericksen also raised $25,000 for the Ronald McDonald House during her pageant days.

The philanthropic teen posted a video on Instagram just one week before her death about a scholarship she was awarded.

Fredericksen’s video shows her entering an award ceremony for the Ellison McCraney Ingram Foundation.

Photos from the teen’s pageant days, along with a video clip of a speech she gave at the event, are included in the short Instagram Reel.

“I am incredibly grateful to be selected as a recipient of this year’s Ellison McCraney Ingram Foundation $40,000 Scholarship,” she wrote.

“This generous support will help shape my future and bring me one step closer to achieving my dreams.

“Thank you to the Ingram family, the foundation, and everyone involved for this amazing honor!”

Underneath the post, dozens of commenters left condolences for her family and shared their fond memories of her.

“Such a bright future ahead of her,” one woman wrote.

“Accomplished so much in her young life. I pray Kadas Promise will continue to do the great work she was doing.”

“RIP you beautiful angel…please continue your work from above in your special signs of love,” another commenter wrote.

Aside from being recognized for her charitable activities with a prestigious scholarship, she became the youngest individual to receive the Citizen of the Year award in Crestview.

Baker School, which Fredericksen attended, announced her tragic passing on Facebook Tuesday morning.

Described as a shining example in the community, Kadance was celebrated for her empathy, continuous support for underprivileged children, and steadfast commitment to creating a positive impact, according to the school’s statement.

“As we navigate this heartbreaking time, we are deeply grateful for our dedicated Baker faculty and staff, our community, as well as the unwavering support of our district team in providing additional counselors.

“Their tireless efforts to comfort and assist our students and staff have been truly invaluable. Please know that support is available on campus for anyone who may need it, and we encourage you to reach out if you need help.”

The school will be hosting a candlelight vigil for the teen on Wednesday evening.

Those wanting to support Fredericksen’s family can donate to a GoFundMe, raising money on behalf of Lisa Fredericksen.
