DETROIT — Tahj Staveskie scored 22 points as Cleveland State beat Detroit Mercy 73-65 on Friday night.
Staveskie had a shooting performance of 6 out of 16 from the field, making 5 of 10 shots from 3-point range, and hitting 5 out of 6 free throws for the Vikings, who have a record of 19-9 overall and 13-4 in the Horizon League. Reece Robinson contributed 11 points, shooting 4 out of 7 from the field. Tevin Smith scored 10 points, making 3 of 6 field goal attempts and 4 of 6 free throws.
