A young child in California is in the hospital after his older brother, aged 17, stabbed him and attempted to strangle their mother on Saturday morning.
The Visalia Police department reported that the stepfather intervened to rescue the mother from the attack by the suspect, who then ran away.
Law enforcement officers managed to locate the suspect and arrested him on charges of two counts of attempted murder.
The 2-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times and taken to Valley Children’s Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
Police did not reveal a motive for the brutal attack or the names of anyone involved.
