Exciting news for fans of The Wheel of Time! The highly-anticipated Season 3 finally has a release date set for 2025 along with a brand new teaser trailer. Showrunner Rafe Judkins and stars Josha Stradowski and Madeleine Madden revealed the thrilling trailer at Brazil’s CCXP24. The teaser provides a glimpse of the iconic city of Rhuidean and hints at how the series will tackle the next chapters of Robert Jordan’s epic fantasy world. Most importantly, it confirms that The Wheel of Time Season 3 will return to Prime Video on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
The Wheel of Time revolves around Rand al’Thor, a simple farmer who learns he is the Dragon Reborn, the powerful figure destined to either save or doom the world. Assisting him is Moiraine, a formidable Aes Sedai who can manipulate reality by weaving power threads. As Rand and his friends brace themselves for the ultimate battle against the Dark One, they face challenges from the Forsaken, the Black Ajah, trollocs, and various opposing factions.
The new trailer for The Wheel of Time appears to begin with Rand, Moiraine, and the Aiel near the sacred city of Rhuidean, a pivotal location in Rand’s journey. Moiraine cryptically mentions, “I have seen a thousand thousand futures. In every future where I lived, Rand dies. And the only way he lives, is if I don’t.” The trailer showcases glimpses of different characters experiencing diverse potential futures, including intense conflicts involving Moiraine and Lanfear.
Elsewhere in the trailer, we get glimpses of the return of Moghedien (Laia Costa), a member of the Forsaken we chillingly met in the final moments of Season 2. There’s a shot of Elayne (Ceara Convery) stoically crowning herself and even Perrin (Marcus Rutherford) in battle. There’s a kiss between Moiraine and her lover, Siuan Sanche (Sophie Okonedo), and even a split second first look at Perrin and a new love interest. The final shot of the trailer echoes the new series poster, with Rand carrying Moiraine through the desert landscape of the Aiel Waste. Moiraine cautions, “You cannot afford to fail again.”
The Wheel of Time Season 3 premieres on March 13, 2025, only on Prime Video.
