WHITE House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s husband has amassed an enviable group of properties in his impressive rags-to-riches career.
Leavitt, who is 27 years old, gained attention for becoming the youngest press secretary and possessing an impressive resume at her relatively young age. But her husband, Nicholas Riccio, has achieved significant success of his own.
Riccio, who is 32 years older than Leavitt, may not have a public role like his wife in the White House, but he holds a prominent position in the New Hampshire real estate sector.
He is known for his ownership of a valuable property portfolio located in sought-after areas such as Hampton Beach, situated just an hour north of Boston, Massachusetts, as reported by Realtor.com.
Riccio chose to invest in the beachfront resort area after driving around and seeing broken-down buildings with tons of potential.
Though he didn’t have any money as a young man, as soon as he had enough cash, he made his first purchase.
The self-made millionaire bought 15 buildings by 2005 and founded his business, Riccio Enterprises LLC.
Riccio, a 60-year-old New Hampshire native, now has a net worth of $6 million and nine homes for rent under Nautical Beach Rentals in his home state and one in West Virginia.
Before he became a real estate mogul, Riccio battled his way through a rough upbringing where he spent years bouncing between his divorced parents’ homes.
By 18, Riccio was virtually homeless.
“When I was 19 or 20, I would call my buddies to go over [to] their houses to watch a game just so I could take a shower,” he told the Portsmouth Herald.
Riccio said he worked at grocery stores and borrowed money to pay his way through college.
In 1990, he took a real estate course and became infatuated with the industry.
Since then, Riccio has taken over the real estate world, but that isn’t actually his ultimate dream.
A massive sports fan, his home includes impressive sports memorabilia, from boxing gloves autographed by Muhammad Ali to photos of Larry Bird.
“My work in real estate has helped facilitate my dream of owning a professional sports team,” he told Seacoast Online.
“And that will happen one day in the near future.”

On July 10, 2024, the couple, who first got engaged on Christmas Day in 2023, welcomed their first child, Nicholas Robert.
“July 10, 2024. 11:25PM. The moment our son was born. The moment I officially became a mom. The best moment of my life,” Leavitt wrote on Instagram.
“It’s true when they say there’s nothing comparable to the love you feel for your child.
“My heart has grown bigger than I ever imagined possible.
“Babies are the ultimate blessing and I’m bursting with gratitude for our beautiful, happy, healthy boy. My son. I love you.”
Leavitt has admitted that her husband prefers to stay in the background, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t always supporting her.
Under an Instagram post of herself and Riccio, she wrote, “He doesn’t have social media, and he’s an introvert (complete opposite of me).
“I respect his privacy on [social media] – but he’s my number one fan, the best dad, and just the best man I’ve ever met.”
