NAPLES, Fla. — Frank Venegas, one half of the viral TikTok pair “Island Boys,” was arrested in Florida Sunday evening on drug and firearm charges, according to an arrest report.
According to an arrest report from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Venegas, 23, was a passenger in a yellow Corvette that failed to stop at a stop sign while exiting a gas station on Oil Well Road in Naples just after 9 p.m.
An officer in an unmarked patrol car witnessed the incident and pulled the car over.
The driver of the car was identified as 25-year-old Olivia Dubois. She and Venegas were asked to exit the Corvette while the officer ran their information and called in a K9 unit.
When backup arrived, the report states one of the responding officers spotted a plastic bag of pills on the passenger side floorboard where Venegas was sitting.
The officer investigated the pill and determined it to be Oxycodone, according to the police report. Another type of pill in the bag was determined to be an Oxycodone and Acetaminophen blend, the report adds. Twelve pills in total were located.
Upon further search of the vehicle, the report says the officer found a handbag on the floorboard of the passenger side, which contained a handgun that had been spray-painted blue, along with a clear plastic straw and credit cards with Venegas’ name on them. Another straw was found in the center console and contained a “white powdery substance,” according to the report.
The officer said the gun was determined to have been altered, which included the removal of serial numbers.
Venegas was handcuffed and transported to the Naples Jail Center. He was charged with drug possession as well as possessing an altered firearm.
