A New Hampshire woman was arrested on Friday for allegedly urinating on food at a grocery store and posting the footage online.
A woman named Kelli Tedford, 43, was caught on video contaminating food and surfaces with urine at the Monadnock Food Co-op in Keene on February 10 according to WMUR. Authorities later found out that Tedford had been involved in similar incidents at establishments in Keene and other places dating back to 2021.
Following this incident, the co-op had to recall several organic products like quinoa, walnuts, and polenta that were sold between February 10 and 15. Fortunately, the contaminated items were limited to non-refrigerated goods. The co-op promptly sanitized the affected areas and reached out to customers who may have purchased the tainted products, offering them refunds.
Authorities were anoynmously tipped off about Tedford’s alleged actions on february 14. The grocery store reported $1,500 in losses.
Kelli Tedford has been charged with criminal mischief and is scheduled to appear in court on April 7. At this time, the authorities have not provided details on which other businesses may have been impacted by her actions or if she will face additional charges.
