Karoline Leavitt Dunks 'Hysterical' NY Times Reporter Over Comparison of Trump to Putin

In a previous article, we discussed how certain mainstream media figures were using social media platforms like Twitter to express their disapproval of the Trump administration’s decision to exclude the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) from the process of vetting potential pool reporters for access to the administration.

Press secretary Karoline Leavitt clarified during a press briefing that longstanding media outlets will still have the opportunity to participate in the press pool. Additionally, new deserving outlets will also be granted this privilege for the first time.

Following this announcement, there was a flurry of reactions from the press, notably with Peter Baker, the chief White House correspondent for The New York Times, drawing comparisons between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
