“Island Boys” rapper Franky Venegas was arrested during a traffic stop in Florida on gun and drug charges, according to authorities.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, 23-year-old Venegas was arrested on charges of possessing a controlled substance without a prescription and having a firearm with an altered serial number. The report was covered by WPLG.
Officials revealed that Venegas was a passenger in a yellow Corvette on a recent Sunday when the driver, a 25-year-old woman, failed to obey a stop sign by not coming to a complete stop.
The sergeant who conducted the traffic stop asked Venegas and the driver to exit the vehicle, and a K-9 unit searched the car.

Also known as Kodiyakredd on stage, Venegas had previously faced legal trouble in Fort Lauderdale. In an incident in May, he was accused of pretending to be his twin brother after being stopped for dangerous driving. Additionally, Venegas had been arrested in Broward County earlier for reportedly assaulting his girlfriend, although those charges were eventually dismissed.
