A search is currently in progress for a man who punched a woman off her scooter, then proceeded to steal it and escape at high speed.
Prior to the attack, the suspect was seen moving a shopping trolley loaded with cleaning supplies.
The Derbyshire police have issued a plea for any information regarding the incident, which occurred in the city center of Derby.
She was approached by a man pushing a trolley full of cleaning products on Sunday 24 November at 1.20pm on Traffic Street who went on to assault her.
He punched her and made a getaway on her scooter in the direction of Siddals road.
A Derbyshire police spokesman said: “The man was described as white, with short blonde hair and a beard.
“He was wearing a brown jacket and jeans.”
Cops have urged anyone who saw the man with the shopping trolley to contact them using the reference number 24*699987.
