Rebecca Gibney, 60, shows off her incredible figure in swimsuit after the ageless beauty unveiled her weight loss and body transformation

Rebecca Gibney is fighting fit and keen to show off her figure.

The 60-year-old was looking much younger than her years in an Instagram Stories post on Sunday as she posed in swimwear.

The Dressmaker actress was trim and terrific in the black swimmers as she posed by a pool.

Rebecca added to her summery look with a black cap and a pair of sunglasses while skipping the makeup.

In her caption alongside the image, the blonde stunner credited her training for Dancing With The Stars for her toned figure.

‘Dancing is not only beneficial for the soul – I feel healthier than I have in years – but it also helps when getting ready to wear a swimsuit for the first time this summer,’ she expressed.

Rebecca has already been already proving that she’ll be the fan favourite to beat on the upcoming season of the dance contest.

The star sent pulses racing on Wednesday by sharing a behind-the-scenes sneak peak at her dance training for the reality TV competition.

‘Who would have thought I would ever get close to doing the splits again at my age,’ the New Zealand-born actress humbly captioned the candid photo.

In the image, Rebecca appears to be practising a tango with her dance partner Ian Waite, who holds her leg outstretched well above his hip.

Rebecca conveyed the passionate feeling of the dance as she nestled her head into Ian’s embrace — supported only by the dancer’s arms wrapped around her slender body, keeping the Logie Hall of Fame member lifted.

She recently freely admitted filming DTWS is ‘the most challenging thing’ she’s ever done.

‘Will I come out of it a pro dancer? No. Has there been tears? Yes. Lots’ she said on social media.

‘But it’s also the most rewarding, amazing thing I’ve ever done,’ Rebecca added.

‘Learning a new skill from one of the world’s best dancers, who is also a wonderful person, is an experience that will stay with me forever. Ian and DTWS, thank you for this unforgettable opportunity,’ she stated.

‘More shows this week. Let’s gooo.’

The cast of Dancing With The Stars Australia for 2025 is shaping up as one of the most impressive seasons yet.

It comes after the icon showed off her incredible weight loss and revealed the secret behind her body transformation.

The actress revealed she had to drastically change her body for her role in the 2012 film Mental but she has been determined to get back into shape.

‘In 2012 I gained a lot of weight to play the role of Shirley Moochmore in PJ Hogans wonderful film Mental.

‘As you can see from the pic Shirley had a good set of bingo wings going and after 9 years I finally thought I’d try and give the wings the flick,’ she wrote on Instagram.

She continued:’The thing is I’m not in a hurry and while I have managed to lose some weight and tone up I still have loose skin, cellulite, wobbly bits , wrinkles, freckles, age spots – you name it.’

‘I’m a mum, I’m over 50 and things will never be what they were and that’s okay. Because what’s important is I feel healthier and fitter than I have in a long time.’

Rebecca went on to say she is still enjoying her favourite snacks including chocolate, wine, hot chips, Parmesan potatoes and pasta, in moderation.

‘Most importantly I am happy because I am taking care of me in my own time and at my own pace and I’m not trying to ‘attain’ anything other than I want to feel even better than I did before.’

‘Life really is a journey, not a destination and it has joyous bits and floppy bits, but underneath all the ‘bits’ we’re all just the same. So be kind to yourself. Go gently.’

Explaining her diet to Daily Mail Australia in the past, the Packed To The Rafters star said: ‘I began an elimination diet where I cut out sugar and alcohol, and anything processed. Although I do still enjoy dark chocolate.’

She added: ‘I don’t believe in stopping the aging process, just slowing it down. I eat well, stay hydrated, exercise, and get monthly facials and microdermabrasion.’

Rebecca stays active by walking every morning and doing yoga, and is also a dedicated meditator, saying she ‘wouldn’t survive’ without her daily practice.
