Hollywood surgeon reveals all the secret treatments A-listers are getting to look natural for the Oscars

A prominent plastic surgeon from Hollywood has shared insights into how celebrities are concealing their cosmetic procedures before the Oscars to appear more natural on the red carpet.

In an interview with DailyMail.com, Dr. Deepak Dugar, known for Sami Sheen’s ‘scarless nose job,’ disclosed that many A-listers are opting for ‘microdosing’ Botox to prevent a ‘frozen’ look during the awards season.

They’re also turning to expensive facials and skin tightening procedures to achieve a naturally effortless glow so that their work is undetectable.

‘This year, the popular trend before the Oscars is focused on achieving “red carpet radiance” through treatments such as hydrafacials, radiofrequency skin tightening, and subtle fillers to replenish lost volume due to stress, strict dieting, or facial volume reduction associated with GLP-1,’ he elaborated.

‘Jawline refinement and deep hydration are also in high demand, offering a sculpted, fresh look that shines under makeup and bright lighting,’ he continued.

‘The “frozen” Botox look is officially out. Celebrities now favor “invisible Botox” – a subtle technique that softens wrinkles while keeping expressions dynamic.’

He added, ‘By using micro-doses targeted to specific areas, the result is a natural, youthful look that feels authentic and effortless.’

Dr. Dugar said that many celebrities are turning away from Botox when filming so that they have more facial movement, but then will increase their use of injectables when it comes time to do press and red carpets.

‘During filming, actors prioritize full facial expressiveness, especially around the eyes and forehead, so they scale back on Botox to maintain natural movement,’ he shared.

‘Many actors swap Botox for treatments like high-frequency microneedling, PRP facials, and collagen-boosting lasers. These options keep the skin youthful and radiant without impairing facial mobility, which is crucial for on-screen performances,’ he continued.

‘But as awards season nears, the focus shifts. Celebrities opt for Botox “refreshers” to soften lines without freezing expression, achieving a polished yet natural look that holds up under red carpet lights and HD cameras.’

Dr. Dugar also said that timing is off the essence when it comes to perfecting a smooth visage on the red carpet.

‘For events like the Oscars, timing is everything. The optimal window for Botox is three to four weeks before the big night,’ he shared.

‘This ensures the treatment fully settles, delivering natural results. Done too early, and movement might return; done too late, and there’s a risk of telltale signs of bruising or swelling or incomplete effects. Botox typically takes seven to 10 days to fully kick in.’

A number of Hollywood stars have shocked fans in recent months with their natural, age-defying looks.

Lohan’s glow-up has sparked a debate among fans who’ve been trying to figure out what procedures the star may have done to achieve the vibrant look.

One aesthetics doctor estimated that the actress may have spent up to $300,000 on tweaks and tucks.

Best Actress nominee Demi Moore, 62, has also been lauded for her ageless beauty following her role in The Substance.

Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman has raised eyebrows over her suspiciously glassy appearance, leading to speculation that she may have dabbled in Botox and other injectables.

Other celebrities, including Courteney Cox and Meghan Trainor, have admitted to overdoing Botox in the past.

Friends star Cox The Friends actress, 60, confessed to having multiple cosmetic procedures due to the ‘pressure’ to stay looking young in the film industry.

She said she didn’t realize the extent of her changing appearance due to only having one procedure done at a time, resulting in a ‘domino effect’ of alterations.

Cox had all her fillers dissolved in 2017 and has since decided to age naturally.

She told Woman magazine: ‘My biggest beauty regret is fillers. There’s so much pressure to stay looking young in this industry that once you start, it becomes a bit of a domino effect and you keep on having more.

‘To the rest of the world your face is so obviously changing, but to yourself – because you’re only having one procedure at a time – you don’t notice.

‘It was a total waste of time and I wish I hadn’t caved into the pressure of having it.’

Last year, the actress admitted she initially tried to fight looking older with various ‘injections’ and other treatments but eventually realized she went ‘crazy’ and is now trying to age gracefully.

She told the Sunday Times Style magazine: ‘There was a time when you go, “Oh, I’m changing. I’m looking older.” And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years.

‘And I didn’t realise that, oh s**t, I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now.’
