Cleveland Municipal Court to remain closed on Monday: What we know

“All internal systems and software platforms will be shut down until further notice.”

The Cleveland Municipal Court has shared an update with 3News regarding an ongoing investigation related to a “cyber incident” that resulted in its operations being suspended.

The court said Sunday that it will remain closed on Monday, March 2.

According to 3News, the court has verified that it is currently looking into the matter, although specific details about the incident have yet to be determined. Efforts are being made to safeguard and recover the impacted systems.

“All internal systems and software platforms will be shut down until further notice,” said a spokesperson for the court.

On Thursday, Feb. 27, the court will continue to be closed to the public, with only essential personnel present. Regular activities, including public services, will not be available during this time.

“We take cyber threats extremely seriously and are working expeditiously to rectify the situation as soon as possible,” said a spokesperson for the court.

This closure follows an earlier announcement on Sunday, Feb. 23, when the court first revealed the cyber incident.

At that time, the court did not specify the extent of the threat or any potential suspects but emphasized that systems would remain offline until they could be restored safely.
