The vehicle was last seen traveling west on St. Clair Avenue, according to police.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a vehicle suspected of use during an alleged kidnapping.

According to a press release, police responded to calls of a suspected kidnapping that took place on Monday, March 3 at approximately 3 p.m.

A person called in to report seeing two individuals, potentially teenagers dressed in dark attire, standing next to a black Jeep Cherokee SRT. One of them was visibly armed and seemed to be aiming a firearm at another person. The witness informed the authorities that the individual being threatened with the gun was forcibly taken into the Jeep. Subsequently, the Jeep fled in the westbound direction on St. Clair Avenue.

Multiple cameras, such as Flock, captured images of the suspect vehicle around the vicinity of Ivanhoe Road and Euclid Avenue. Law enforcement officials suspect that the Jeep might have a damaged sunroof and could have been recently stolen.

Anyone with information on this vehicle is asked to call 911 or 216-621-1234.
