Fox News host Sean Hannity recently had a discussion with Vice President JD Vance in which they focused on the recent altercation with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.
During the conversation, Vance criticized Zelensky, referring to him as “entitled” and praising President Donald Trump for taking a more “realistic” stance.
“That’s the real breakdown,” he added.
.@VP: “There was a lack of respect, there was a certain sense of entitlement … [Zelenskyy] showed a clear unwillingness to engage in the PEACE process that President Trump has said is the policy of the American people and their president. That’s the real breakdown.” pic.twitter.com/i4ZmS0Hjo8

“The president is actually taking a much more realistic perspective in saying this can’t go on forever,” Vance explained. “We can’t fund this thing forever, the Ukrainians can’t fight forever — so let’s bring this thing to a peaceful settlement.”
The Trump administration on Monday officially froze all military aid to Ukraine until Trump feels “the Ukrainians show a commitment to good faith peace negotiations.”

“This is not permanent termination of aid, it’s a pause,” an official inside the administration said of the freeze. “The orders are going out right now.”
Vance also reiterated that the Ukrainian delegation came to the White House to sign a mineral rights agreement, and that the behavior of Zelensky is what threw a wrench into the talks.
.@VP: When the Ukrainians came to Washington on Friday, it was supposed to be ceremonial… we’ll sign this thing, we’ll have a rah-rah moment, and then we’ll get to negotiating peace. We couldn’t even get them to a point where they could talk about a peaceful settlement. pic.twitter.com/gA3uKrcsco

The Trump administration maintains that they are working to bring both sides to the table for peace talks, and they have made it clear they believe Ukraine is in an unwinnable position. Trump said as much during the exchange in the Oval Office on Friday.
