Four bombshell clues in hunt for elusive Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakomoto revealed in doc – & signs he could be BRITISH

FOUR bombshell clues in the hunt for elusive Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakomoto have been revealed – and he could be British.

Satoshi has managed to maintain his true identity a secret ever since releasing Bitcoin’s white paper in 2008 – which then evolved into a staggering $2 trillion asset.

By 2011, while Bitcoin was experiencing rapid growth, the creator disappeared entirely, informing another early adopter of cryptocurrency via email: “I’ve shifted my focus to different endeavors”.

Revealing hints regarding the enigmatic Bitcoin creator’s identity emerged in an exclusive new Channel 4 documentary called Seeking Satoshi: The Mystery Bitcoin Creator scheduled to be broadcast tonight.

BRITISH LINKS

One clue discovered in the hunt for Satoshi was that despite his name sounding Japanese, he was a native English speaker – and tended to use British rather than US spelling.

And in early January 2009, the day Satoshi’s Bitcoin was launched, the unknown creator embedded a headline from the Times newspaper on that day in the code.

It read: “Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks”.

Gabriel dubbed this “a message in a bottle” and that Bitcoin was “a political project”.

The journalist had initially received names from a man called Mike Lorry, who claimed he was there in the early days of crypto, with one British man on the list – Adam Back.

British coder Adam’s name was also referenced in the footnotes at the end of the Bitcoin White Paper, having written a piece of software that was key for Bitcoin to function.

After journalist Gabriel received no response from Adam despite messaging a few times, he flew to a conference that he was speaking at in Miami after following a tip-off.

The conference resembled more of a village fete, Gabriel said, with people dressed up as conspiracies swirled as to who Satoshi really is.

One man told Gabriel that he thought Satoshi was an alien who had come from the future.

Following a speech bizarrely delivered by Robert F Kennedy Jr, Gabriel spoke to Adam Back backstage where he denied being the Bitcoin inventor.

He told the journalist: “[Satoshi] took steps to be anonymous, and clearly intended to be, so presumably it will stay that way”.

Adam added that he thought Bitcoin would strip the state of the power to control money, describing it as a revolution and a piece of tech that would change human society forever.

WARNINGS FROM HACKERS

Gabriel was also met with a stark message from two elderly hackers on an idyllic Caribbean Island.

He travelled to Anguilla to discover more about a finanical crypotgraphy conference held in the 90s that participants deemed to be a “revolution against central banks”.

Gabriel spoke to the founders of the conference, Vince Cate and Bob Hettinga, who told him about the potential dangers of his investigation.

The duo issued a chilling warning to the journalist and advise him to steer clear of finding Satoshi’s identity.

Bob said: “Yeah it is dangerous, you know. It’s not dangerous for you, I don’t think.”

The hacker warned that crooks and thieves would go after Satoshi, if his identity was revealed, to try and steal the Genesis Block.

Bob warned: “Satoshi will get hurt.”

Vince added: “We don’t want them to find Satoshi.”

SATOSHI’S POLITICAL AMBITIONS

It’s thought that before he disappeared, Satoshi was able to quarry around one million Bitcoin, which today is worth roughly an eye-watering $100 billion.

But the bitcoin has never been touched – leading to Gabriel believing that if Satoshi isn’t dead, the gargantuan wallet means he’s just not interested in personal wealth.

Understanding Satoshi’s political ambitions has been a focal point for Gabriel in determining who he is – or was.

He said: “The first anyone heard of Bitcoin was in October 2008.

“It was the financial crisis the markets were in meltdown, someone posted a paper on a internet forum called the cryptography mailing list.

Trump’s crypto reserve

DONALD Trump announced he would create a national crypto strategic reserve.

The US president’s groundbreaking plan included the federal purchase of Bitcoin, Euthereum, and three other cryptocurrencies.

These smaller cyrptos were XRP, Cardano, and Solana.

Trump said his plans would make the US “the crypto capital of the world”.

The White House will even hold its first ever Crypto Summit on Friday.

Trump was skeptical of crypto during his first presidential term and even branded Bitcoin a “scam” at the time.

He has since changed his tune on cryptos and even introduced his own meme coin, with his wife Melania, in January.

Elon Musk, who leads Trump’s DOGE, also promotes cryptocurrencies on his social media network X.

“They said they invested a new sort of money, a kind of digital gold that could be sent over the internet, cutting out the banks.”

And speaking to a guest at the Miami conference, the journalist heard how Bitcoin may have sparked a “revolution” – to transform the world.

The guest said: “I was learning about the federal reserve and how like evil our money system is and Bitcoin seemed like a real answer to that and that’s how it started.

“All these nerds who were like ”oh my god this might be the best shot we have at a nonviolent revolution – we’re about to hit the debt ceiling, inflation is through the roof and if we don’t have an alternative to that everybody’s f****d.'”

The documentary also suggested a potential conspiracy among the elites of Silicon Valley to cleverly conceal Satoshi’s true identity and undermine democracy.

Seeking Satoshi: The Mystery Bitcoin Creator is to air as five separate 20 minute films.

They’re being put together into one and broadcast on TV on Wednesday night.
