The media has been buzzing about the relationship between Giovanna Fletcher and McFly’s Danny Jones this week. Reports of him allegedly ‘kissing Maura Higgins’ at The BRIT Awards have stirred up quite a storm.
But before embarking on her high-profile romance and later becoming Mrs Jones, Georgia Horsley had a very glamorous career of her own.
At the age of 38, Giovanna, a mother of one, has had quite an interesting journey so far. In her younger years, she worked as a florist and a model. She even participated in beauty pageants and eventually went on to win Miss England in 2007.
Despite her past in the spotlight, Giovanna decided to step away from her glamorous career to focus on her family life. Since tying the knot with musician Danny Jones, she shifted her attention to her marriage and their seven-year-old son, Cooper. She has also found success by channeling her love for family into a thriving parenting podcast.
Before meeting Danny in 2010, Georgia’s modelling success saw her take part in the Miss World Talent competition held in China, where she finished in the top 18.
And a year after her pageant win, she even dressed as a showgirl for the late Bruce Forsyth’s 80th birthday celebrations in 2008.

She revealed how the pageant committee had asked her to ‘fatten up’ to demonstrate that participants weren’t anorexic.
Nowadays Georgia has a very different career and can be found presenting a joint podcast with her friend Kelsey Parker called Mum’s The Word where they discuss the trials and tribulations of parenting.
Georgia met Danny in 2010 and the pair began dating. Three years later while the couple were on holiday in Cyprus, McFly star Danny popped the question and they tied the knot the following year.
Danny and Georgia’s wedding took place in her hometown of Malton, in Yorkshire, in a ceremony which featured musical performances by McBusted and Ellie Goulding.
The couple welcomed their son Cooper in 2018. And since then, Georgia has openly shared her parenting journey and family life with Danny on her Instagram page, which boasts an impressive 254k followers.
Danny and Georgia went through a difficult period following the birth of their son, something she has previously spoken about on her podcast.
Speaking on her Mums The Word podcast, Georgia said: ‘Before, when Danny joined The Voice Kids, it was straight after I’d had Cooper. I’d given birth five days before and he had to go back to work, so I was left home alone.’
Georgia also made an honest sex confession on her podcast, revealing that she and Danny were celibate for a year after welcoming their son.
‘We can’t have had sex for a year at one stage because after you have your baby you’re healing and after two months into getting pregnant we didn’t have sex,’ she explained.

Georgia has also used her social media and podcasting platform to speak openly about her disability, speaking about how she became deaf in her right ear following a bout of meningitis as a two-year-old.
Speaking on her condition, she previously said: ‘At school it was sometimes difficult. You don’t want anything that makes you different but when I struggled to hear I’d get put to the front of the class and I would ask a lot of questions because I hadn’t heard everything.
‘There was one girl who would call me ‘stupid’ because I kept asking questions. But I did have a great group of friends and they’d stick up for me.’
It remains to be seen if Georgia will use her popular Instagram page and podcast as an outlet for the new headlines surrounding her marriage.

The former model prides herself on her honest conversations on relationships and family life, but whether this very public scandal makes it onto her popular podcast remains to be see.
