A teen from Wisconsin, aged 15, was taken into custody on Tuesday night in Caledonia for the alleged murder of his mother.
Authorities from the Caledonia Police Department responded to a residence around 10:30 p.m. following a report indicating that a young boy may have been involved in his mother’s death.
Upon arrival, the adolescent voluntarily approached the law enforcement officers at the entrance and surrendered without resistance.
Officers found the boy’s mother dead inside the home, suffering from stab wounds and blunt force trauma.
The boy was charged with homicide and remains in custody.
Police did not say who called 911 or if there were other people in the home at the time. They have also not named the victim or the suspect.
