On Tuesday, a large group of volunteers and police officers continued looking for 2-year-old Dane Paulsen, who went missing on March 1 in Lincoln County, Oregon.
According to ABC News, search teams have searched across 682 acres and covered 341 miles on foot. They have used drones, divers, K9 units, and thermal imaging devices in their search efforts. Authorities have followed up on 195 leads and tips to find the young boy.
During a press conference on Tuesday, the police disclosed that they are focusing their search on the Siletz River near his residence. They mentioned that he was last seen near the river before he disappeared.
“We know this is a difficult time for Dane’s family, and we are doing everything we can to bring him home,” Lincoln County Sheriff Adam Shanks said.
As CrimeOnline reported, the sheriff’s department said he was last seen playing in the front yard of his family’s home in Siletz, “out of sight of his parents.” He was reported missing at approximately 4:25 p.m. Saturday.
The tot’s disappearance doesn’t meet the criteria for an AMBER Alert, the sheriff’s department said
Dane was last seen wearing a grey fuzzy hoody with ears, blue and white shoes, and black pants. He has brown hair and green eyes.
