White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt criticized Democrats for their rude and “shameful” behavior during President Trump’s speech to Congress on Tuesday evening.
Interestingly, she went a step further by offering them guidance, suggesting they show some form of approval for at least a few parts of the speech even before Trump began speaking.
During an interview on Fox & Friends, she stated, “I believe the Democrats should consider whether they should stand and applaud for certain aspects of President Trump’s speech. He is reintroducing common sense to this nation.”
They didn’t listen. Instead, America got to see them for the clowns, utterly devoid of common sense, that a vast majority of the Democrat party has become.

There was , ping-pong paddles of doom, walkouts, and pocket whiteboards; oh my. What there wasn’t, however, was decorum, dignity, professionalism, or … common sense.
During today’s press briefing, Leavitt took a few moments to dress down the embarrassing behavior put on display before the entire country last night. Without a scintilla of hyperbole, she stated that the resistance party’s behavior the previous night was the “most shameful moment in the history of presidential addresses in that beautiful chamber.”

“In what was supposed to be a unifying moment for our country, Democrat members of Congress instead screamed at the President of the United States – who was just overwhelmingly reelected by their constituents – walked out of the chamber,” Leavitt stated.
“And worst of all, they disrespected the American people.”
Leavitt was just getting started. She went on to point out that while the president wasn’t expecting his opposition to cheer his political policies, everybody was taken aback that they couldn’t even muster up enough respect for his guests or, frankly, themselves, to applaud some of the heartwarming stories.
The young press secretary pointed to the story of Marc Fogel, an American teacher who had been detained in Russia since 2021 before the President negotiated his release.

No, that was just too much for them to drag their butts out of their seats.
Honestly, you have to be a soulless ghoul not to shed a tear watching that moment. The vast majority of the Democrat side of the chamber proved to be exactly that.
How bad was it? Even Symone Sanders and Michael Steele, two reliably rabid anti-Trumpers, thought the Democrat lawmakers who brought their little ping-pong paddles were embarrassing.
Symone Sanders and Michael Steele HATED the Democrats’ “bingo signs.”
SANDERS: “This is an indictment, in my opinion, on the Democratic leadership… The visuals are not taking back the House in 2026.”

It really doesn’t matter what they did last night. America saw a president who talked like a normal human being, analyzed things from a common sense perspective, and actually brought joy and optimism to their TV screens.
His opponents contrasted that by sitting on their hands, showing disdain for children with brain cancer, young women who were the victims of illegal alien violence, and, quite frankly, the American people.
They are weird and out of touch. And they might not see the inside of the Oval Office again for many years to come.
