Although the “Hood Melody” rapper said he sees Halo occasionally, he shared claimed that he spent “very minimal time” with the toddler.

DDG claimed that his inability to see Halo made him stream with women all week because he couldn’t “be a dad” when he wanted to.

He explained, “I don’t give a f-ck about hanging around no girls; I want to be around my son, you feel me? But since I can’t be around my son, I’m obviously going to work. I’m not going to sit in the crib looking at the wall and cry about sh-t.”

DDG also said he drove for hours to visit Halo but still can’t see him to “comfort” him. He shared, “I don’t get the chance to do that I get pinned against the wall and then everything else is variables on why I can’t see my son.”

DDG clarified that although he and Bailey haven’t “been together for a long time,” he doesn’t know why she won’t let him see their son.

He said, “It’s been going on for a minute where I just never got on the internet and said nothing. I mean I might like throw little subliminal or some sh-t.”

The frustrated rapper was grateful Halo wasn’t old enough to worry about him not being around. He explained, “Luckily, my son is only 1, so I don’t have to worry about him feeling like, ‘Oh, my my pop’s not there.’ Every time I’m there, he’s got a smile on his face.”

DDG continued, “He’s happy to see me but he only can see me for no more than 48 hours. I haven’t had to have my son to myself for longer than 72 hours max.”

The 27-year-old explained that he is “not a deadbeat” and expressed the need for there to be “repercussions” for him not being able to see Halo. He added, “I have inspired dads across the world to want to be in their kid’s life. Why make it harder for me?”

He also shared that he feels Bailey is his “second mom,” as he has to seek her permission to do certain things with Halo, who he has never taken out of state.

He explained, “‘Can I take our son somewhere?’ But if she want to get up and leave the country and leave the state, I get no say so whatsoever. I can’t say one word, because she tells me that she’s the primary parent. It’s not cool, bro It’s not fair, bro.”

The “Impatient” crooner shared that he only cared about Halo, not Bailey’s activities.

He said, “I don’t give a f-ck who she talk to, who her n–ga is, who she filming movies with, I don’t give a f-ck. I care about my son. That’s all I care about.”

DDG added, “And when that’s taken from me, she know that’s the only way I get frustrated. That’s the only way she can get under my skin, because I don’t care what she does.”

The rapper reiterated that his relationship with Bailey had ended long ago, adding that they were “on and off” for a while before permanently ending things.

However, he said he was there throughout Halo’s birth process. DDG revealed, “I was there the whole process. Pulling his head out, everything. I should have just as much say so as possible. It’s not cool, bro.”

This is not the first time Bailey and DDG are having co-parenting issues. Bailey criticized DDG in November 2024 for bringing Halo on a livestream with Kai Cenat without informing her.

She expressed her frustration on social media, stating she was out of town and upset not to be notified, emphasizing her role as Halo’s “mother and protector.”
