DDG has claimed his ex-girlfriend, Halle Bailey, is preventing him from seeing their one-year-old son, Halo.
The musician and online personality shared during a live broadcast that he is fully dedicated to being present in his child’s life, even though he acknowledges that he hasn’t been able to spend meaningful time with him for a while.
DDG hoped that Bailey, who he broke up with in October 2024, would let him see Halo after his livestream.

DDG Says He ‘Just Wants To Be In My Son’s Life’
On Friday, the father of one posted a vlog titled “She Won’t Let Me See My Son,” where he expressed frustration about his inability to see Halo.
Initially hesitant to open up about his personal life online, DDG felt compelled to address the situation publicly due to his increasing frustration with the challenges he has faced in trying to fulfill his role as a father.
According to reports from Complex, DDG expressed his desire for unrestricted access to his son, emphasizing his wish to be able to see and spend time with him whenever he wants, regardless of how it may be perceived by others.
DDG also claimed Bailey was bullying him because he is not considered a “primary parent.”

He added, “It’s like, I just don’t know what to do at this point. I don’t know what to do. And that’s just why I just like, maybe this will make her want to have to let me see my son.”

DDG Says He Can’t ‘Be A Dad’ When He Wants

Although the “Hood Melody” rapper said he sees Halo occasionally, he shared claimed that he spent “very minimal time” with the toddler.
DDG claimed that his inability to see Halo made him stream with women all week because he couldn’t “be a dad” when he wanted to.
He explained, “I don’t give a f-ck about hanging around no girls; I want to be around my son, you feel me? But since I can’t be around my son, I’m obviously going to work. I’m not going to sit in the crib looking at the wall and cry about sh-t.”
DDG also said he drove for hours to visit Halo but still can’t see him to “comfort” him. He shared, “I don’t get the chance to do that I get pinned against the wall and then everything else is variables on why I can’t see my son.”

DDG Says The Situation Has Been This Way Since Halo’s Birth

DDG clarified that although he and Bailey haven’t “been together for a long time,” he doesn’t know why she won’t let him see their son.
He said, “It’s been going on for a minute where I just never got on the internet and said nothing. I mean I might like throw little subliminal or some sh-t.”
The rapper claimed he had exhausted all options to see Halo, adding that he feels like he is his son’s “nanny” though he doesn’t know the nanny’s name. He stressed, “I’ve been dealing with this since he had been born damn-near.”
DDG also explained that he wanted to spend time with his son and had no plans to stream. However, his efforts to do so were futile.

He said, “And then I get here I get there and I can’t and I’m kicked out of the crib, can’t see him, whatever.” He hammered on his and Bailey’s co-parenting relationship, saying, “Mind you we have our own lives.”
DDG also said that he and Bailey were no longer in a relationship, but he continues to feel like “a secondary parent.”
DDG Says He Isn’t A ‘Deadbeat’

The frustrated rapper was grateful Halo wasn’t old enough to worry about him not being around. He explained, “Luckily, my son is only 1, so I don’t have to worry about him feeling like, ‘Oh, my my pop’s not there.’ Every time I’m there, he’s got a smile on his face.”
DDG continued, “He’s happy to see me but he only can see me for no more than 48 hours. I haven’t had to have my son to myself for longer than 72 hours max.”
The 27-year-old explained that he is “not a deadbeat” and expressed the need for there to be “repercussions” for him not being able to see Halo. He added, “I have inspired dads across the world to want to be in their kid’s life. Why make it harder for me?”

DDG also questioned his and Bailey’s co-parenting arrangement, which he described as “foul,” adding that she seems to have a “golden image.”
He also shared that he feels Bailey is his “second mom,” as he has to seek her permission to do certain things with Halo, who he has never taken out of state.
He explained, “‘Can I take our son somewhere?’ But if she want to get up and leave the country and leave the state, I get no say so whatsoever. I can’t say one word, because she tells me that she’s the primary parent. It’s not cool, bro It’s not fair, bro.”
DDG Says He Doesn’t Care About Halle Bailey

The “Impatient” crooner shared that he only cared about Halo, not Bailey’s activities.
He said, “I don’t give a f-ck who she talk to, who her n–ga is, who she filming movies with, I don’t give a f-ck. I care about my son. That’s all I care about.”
DDG added, “And when that’s taken from me, she know that’s the only way I get frustrated. That’s the only way she can get under my skin, because I don’t care what she does.”
The rapper reiterated that his relationship with Bailey had ended long ago, adding that they were “on and off” for a while before permanently ending things.
However, he said he was there throughout Halo’s birth process. DDG revealed, “I was there the whole process. Pulling his head out, everything. I should have just as much say so as possible. It’s not cool, bro.”

This is not the first time Bailey and DDG are having co-parenting issues. Bailey criticized DDG in November 2024 for bringing Halo on a livestream with Kai Cenat without informing her.
She expressed her frustration on social media, stating she was out of town and upset not to be notified, emphasizing her role as Halo’s “mother and protector.”
