Tony Finau‘s wife, Alayna Finau, has been there to cheer him on throughout his professional golf career.
The couple, who are both from Utah, got married in 2012 and have five children together named Jraice, Leilene “Neenee” Aiaga, Tony, Sage, and Sienna-Vee. Before their youngest child was born in 2021, Tony mentioned that he wanted to continue expanding their family.
Tony shared in an interview with The Charlotte Observer that they are open to having a total of five or six children. Coming from large families themselves, they appreciate the sense of community and support that big families provide. Tony explained that Polynesians and those in the Mormon community often embrace the idea of having many children, citing his own family with five brothers and three sisters, while Alayna has three sisters and a brother.
Although they have not revealed the details of how they first met, the couple has connected deeply through their shared faith. In a 2017 discussion, Tony expressed how some people are surprised to learn about their Mormon background, but he views it as a positive aspect of their identity. He appreciates it as a compliment when people are intrigued by their faith and the values they uphold.
