Nicole Kidman has churned out an impressive number of television shows and films over the last two years.
She starred in various blockbuster hits in 2024, including Babygirl, The Perfect Couple, Lioness, and A Family Affair, showcasing her acting prowess across different genres.
Married to Keith Urban and a mother of four, she took on the lead role in the Amazon Prime series Expats and also lent her voice to the animated film Spellbound, available on Netflix.
With two more projects in the pipeline for the current year, the 57-year-old actress intends to take a break after that, much to the anticipation of her fans.
While promoting her latest film, called Holland, at the SXSW Film & TV Festival over the weekend, she shared she is ready to take a step back.

‘I was much more out there last year; this year I have Holland, I have Nine Perfect Strangers, and then I’m off for the rest of year. So, oh well!’ she exclaimed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Although Nicole only mentioned two roles to THR, last September Amazon Prime announced that she will star in the mystery thriller Scarpetta, expected to be released sometime in 2025.
She also has a role in David E. Kelley’s forthcoming Margo’s Got Money Troubles alongside Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer.
And viewers are still anxiously awaiting the third season of Big Little Lies (also written by Kelley), which has been confirmed while other details remain unknown.
Kidman’s work has been so ubiquitous that she’s become the butt of jokes in the entertainment industry.
At the Golden Globes in January, host Nikki Glaser teased, ‘Thank you, Nicole, for working so hard!
‘And thank you, Keith Urban, for playing guitar around the house so much that she wants to leave and make 18 movies a year. Keep strumming, you kooky Koala.’
Last November, when the actress celebrated her mention in British GQ’s Men of the Year issue, fans used the opportunity to opine that she has taken on too many roles.

‘Can you please give other actresses a chance and not be in every single movie out there??’ one person commented on the post.
‘I think you need to stop acting like you’re like 25 years old. It’s not a good look, just saying,’ another said.
‘She seems to be in everything these days, and it’s annoying. And I think it has the opposite effect, people won’t watch it,’ a different critic added.
However, others defended the star, insisting Nicole deserves her many starring roles because of her talent.
‘Her talent is undeniable! She earns it. I wish she was in MORE MOVIES and MORE SHOWS. We can’t get enough of her. She’s legendary,’ one devoted fan declared.
