‘The Bachelor’ Season 29 Women Tell All Recap: The Carolina Show Continues

The women of The Bachelor Season 29 came, they saw, and you’d better believe they told all.

Before getting into the Fantasy Suite Week adventures of Grant Ellis with his Top 3 contestants — Juliana Pasquarosa, Zoe McGrady, and Litia Garr — he visited Los Angeles and appeared alongside franchise host Jesse Palmer. During this time, he met with 15 of his ex-girlfriends in front of a live audience, reminiscing about the highlights, challenges, romantic moments, and drama of the season.

Similar to many of Grant’s group dates, “The Women Tell All” quickly became The Carolina Show. The 28-year-old “villain” of the season made a dramatic entrance wearing a blue Melania Trump-esque blazer with the words “What’s Your Question?” on the front and “Crazy And Evil” on the back. Engaging with almost every woman on stage throughout the night, she even walked off in tears at one point. Carolina was not the only one in the spotlight as various significant moments from “The Women Tell All” are broken down below.

For those seeking a summary of The Bachelor Season 29, Episode 7, also known as “The Women Tell All,” and curious about the interactions between the women and Grant before the final two episodes of the season, Decider’s “Women Tell All” recap provides the details.

The Bachelor Season 29’s most controversial contestant was undoubtedly Carolina Quixano, so it’s no surprise that the majority of the night was devoted to unpacking her various feuds. From the group date couch kiss with Grant and “throwing Rose under the bus” to her pre-Hometown Week departure in Scotland and more, contestants did their best to address as much Carolina chaos as they could in the limited time. Jesse said they’d likely need “six hours” to unpack it all. But what did they get to?

After Carolina addressed her drama with Rose, the girls confronted her for her negativity, and Jesse brought up Carolina and Dina’s social media feud that’s been playing out online as the season airs. Though we last saw Carolina making up with Dina before her final rose ceremony, Dina said that watching the show every week took her back and made her feel foolish that she “bought [Carolina] a week in Madrid when [she] was supposed to go home.” After an emotional back and forth, Carolina walked off stage during a commercial break in tears. She later returned and took the hot seat with Jesse, where her fellow contestants felt she failed to take accountability for her actions on the show.

Carolina opened up about her connection with Grant and how hard it is to share her epilepsy disorder with people. She broke down in tears several times throughout the night and explained that after her one-on-one date with Grant, she “spiraled.” She went back and forth with Dina over what it truly meant to take accountability, and she said she hoped Grant would come out and take some accountability, too, for the part he played in issues like the Rose drama.

Shortly after “The Women Tell All” started, Sarafiena Watkins apologized for the “shortest dress I’ve ever seen in my life” comment she made towards Zoe early on in the season, saying it was “quite possibly the worst thing” she’s ever said and explaining that Bachelor Nation should “give [Zoe] some grace” because “she’s a very misunderstood person.” When she took the hot seat, Sarafiena opened up about her desire to find her person and hopes for her mom to see her get married. “I have a really big heart, and I feel like a lot of people don’t see that,” Sarafiena explained. “I don’t know if I’m just not expressing myself in the right ways, but I love so hard, and I just I really want someone that sees that in me.”

As a man who loves his mom, Jesse reached out to Sarafiena’s mom Velma and had her record a video for her daughter’s big “Women Tell All” moment. “I can confirm I did watch it,” Velma said of Sarafiena and Grant’s Bachelor smooching. “I turned away for a little bit, and then I laughed. I’m so proud of the woman you have become. I love you so much. And remember, I’m always watching.” Aww! For those wondering, yes! Velma’s single and potential Golden Bachelorette material.

After getting sent home following an emotional Hometown Week, Dina Lupancu took the hot seat and reflected on thawing her “ice queen” persona. Despite her and Grant’s strong connection, Dina’s family was the only family who didn’t show up for Hometown Week. Instead, Grant met a group of Dina’s friends, and though they hit it off and had a lovely night, he told cameras that the lack of family support could be “make-it-or-break-it deal” for him.

Dina said she thinks things could have been different if Grant did meet her family. “This is something that I haven’t told anyone, and I didn’t tell Grant at the time,” she revealed, “But it was ultimately my decision to not have my family be a part of it. I have a really big family. Half of them were okay with it, and the other half — mostly my brothers — were not okay.” Dina explained that half of her family felt the journey was too fast and she wouldn’t “be able to have a guy who’s been dating 25 girls be faithful to her.” She assured viewers that “they didn’t trust the process” and when she found out that her family was “at odds with each other about it, and it was causing polarizing views” she decided to just have Grant meet her friends instead.

“I’m not going to have my family meet Grant, and the whole time I’m having to convince them of the process and convince them that I’m ready to get engaged when I don’t know that I necessarily was convinced about myself,” Dina explained, letting Jesse know that in hindsight, she did regret the decision “a little bit.”

Before the night ended, Grant reunited with his “stunning” 15 exes and had quick one-on-one check-ins with Alexe, Natalie, Bailey, Dina, and (of course) Carolina. After seeing Dina for the first time since the Hometown Week rose ceremony he gave her some additional clarity about her departure and his thoughts on her family not showing up. When Dina broke down in tears, he said, “Listen, you’re amazing, and you’re wonderful, and your family not being there was not the reason. It wasn’t the reason. It’s just things that I was looking for, just what was best for me… If we were to end up at the end, there’s time to meet the family. I was more concerned about how you felt, because that’s something that hurts — your family not being there…I know they support you. They just don’t know this process is new to them. So I wasn’t really thinking about how I was feeling. I was thinking about how you were feeling in that moment.”

When asked where his relationship with Carolina went wrong, Grant said, “I’m not even going to say that things went wrong between us. I think that where things stopped is when my relationship with other ladies progressed, and it doesn’t have anything to do with you, per se, as a person. It’s just my relationship and what I was looking for in a partner.” When Carolina pressed Grant to explain his comments about “clocking” her behavior to Dina, he said, “When you’re on a group date setting, you can kind of tell by what the vibes are, and if people are happy to be there and they’re excited, but if there’s something there that is not that is negative, that’s what I noticed.” Predictably, Carolina didn’t love another comment about her negativity, but when she tried to explain how hard it was to live in a house where everyone “hated” her, the women shut the accusations down and Jesse moved on to the FUN portion of the evening.

The Bachelor host welcomed Grant’s sister, beat the Season 29 lead in a game of Chubby Bunny, assigned some superlatives, rolled the bloopers, and teased exciting Bachelor in Paradise casting announcements during the Season 29 finale. The “Women Tell All” special ended with another dramatic look at Grant’s final episode, and Jesse teased, “There has never been a Bachelor who has had such a difficult time making his final decision.”
