Playboi Carti, well-established in the hip-hop scene, has caused much anticipation among his fans for his latest release. Despite the prolonged suspense surrounding the album titled “I AM MUSIC,” it has yet to make its debut.
The initial release time was slated for midnight but faced delays, pushing the schedule back to 3 AM EST. However, further setbacks ensued, and as per DJ Akademiks, the hindrance primarily revolves around sample clearance issues. As the clock struck 7 AM, the album still had not reached its audience.
Understandably, numerous fans find the situation frustrating. Yet, a gleam of hope emerged when Carti revealed the tracklist on his undisclosed Instagram account. Comprising a substantial total of 30 tracks, many of which had been leaked on various platforms previously, this forthcoming album promises a refined listening experience. Despite this exciting development, fans are eagerly anticipating the moment the album becomes available on Spotify.
The tracklist includes some massive features, with guest appearances from Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Uzi Vert, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and even Young Thug.
Some of these artists make multiple appearances, which should lead to some interesting arrangements. While 30 tracks might seem like a lot, it’s understandable given how long fans have been waiting. Only time will tell if the album lives up to the hype.
