Tom Homan Absolutely Bodies AOC, Signals Nothing But Escalation in Deportations

Tom Homan made an appearance on Laura Ingraham’s show, delivering a strong message: Deportation efforts will not be slowing down under the current administration.

This statement follows extensive criticism from the Democratic Party, who have been defending a vocal supporter of Hamas due to the questionable political judgment of some left-wing members. Among the most vocal critics is Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez from New York, a familiar figure for such controversies. With Representative Jasmine Crockett from Texas recently gaining attention, Ocasio-Cortez seems eager to reclaim the spotlight.

Ingraham broached the issue with Homan by playing a clip of Ocasio-Cortez attacking him. Here’s what she had to say.

INGRAHAM: AOC, your buddy, recently had a few choice words to say about you, Tom. Watch.

OCASIO-CORTEZ: Every time you see Tom Homan on Fox News, every time you see these law enforcement officials doing flashy television interviews, understand that they are taking attention and focus and real dollars, and real resources away from actual drug enforcement, trafficking enforcement, actually going after and actually trying to investigate really harmful activity that is happening.

No one has ever accused the congresswoman of being the sharpest tool in the shed, but you’d think that she’d realize her argument is self-defeating. If Homan doing interviews to keep the American people updated on the fight to secure the border is a waste of resources, then what exactly are her interviews? Isn’t she wasting taxpayer money by going after Homan in a media interview?

Of course, her assertion falls flat regarding the data as well, which is what Homan goes on to point out. Namely, more has been done to secure the border and deport criminals within the interior in the last several weeks under President Donald Trump than was done the last year of Joe Biden’s tenure.

The border is sealed. 96 percent decline in illegal immigration, and when 96 percent less people are coming across that border, how many children aren’t dying? How many women aren’t being sex trafficked? How many known and suspected terrorists aren’t getting in the country? How many pounds of fentanyl isn’t getting in to kill Americans.

This administration has done more for the safety and security of New York than she has ever done or ever will do. So we’re going to keep doing what we do. I’m not running a popularity contest. If she doesn’t like me, I wear that as a badge of honor. That means I’m doing the right thing.

What he mentions about preventing children from dying and women from being trafficked is far too often overlooked, especially by Democrats. I’ve been making the argument for years. When you secure the border and get rid of the thing that was leading to millions of women and children being trafficked, countless lives are saved. Even putting aside the risk of rape and murder, the harsh natural conditions alone were an incredibly dangerous part of the journey. When the border is secure, children don’t drown trying to ford the Rio Grande. Women aren’t raped and dumped in the desert. People are safer, both in the United States and abroad.

Homan was also asked about whether recent judicial rulings will slow or stop his operations. To that, the answer was a clear no.

HOMAN: No, we’re out there arresting people every day. We’re doing several operations across the country right now, including today. So we’re going to keep arresting, we’re going to keep detaining, we’re going to keep removing them. We’re not slowing down. We’re keeping President Trump’s promise.

And I appreciate the president giving me a shout-out, but I want to give a shout-out to the men and women of the Border Patrol, the men and women of ICE who are out there wearing that badge and gun, doing the job every day. God bless them.

I firmly believe that Homan is doing and will continue to do everything he can with the resources he has. Does that add up to “mass deportations?” Maybe not technically when you consider the sheer numbers involved, but as I said before the election, you start with the obvious ones. The ones who have committed other crimes than crossing illegally. The ones who support terrorism and have no business holding a U.S. visa. The ones who have been flaunting removal orders for years on end. That’s what Homan is doing, and we can cross the other bridges when we get to them.
