Chicago Police are looking for a fedora-wearing, guitar-toting arsonist who lit several fires in trash bins on the north side of the city.
According to police, the fires were ignited during the early hours of November 24, 2024. Although the incidents occurred on that date, details were not disclosed until Friday. A video released by the authorities displayed the suspect starting fires between 2:45 a.m. and 3:20 a.m., as reported by CWBChicago.
The individual being sought is described as having medium-length hair and sporting a mustache. In the footage, he can be observed smoking a cigarette while dressed in a fedora and a long dark coat. Additionally, he carries a colorful guitar case with stripes on his back.
The video footage reveals that the man set fire to “several” locations within the neighborhoods. He is depicted igniting and discarding items into garbage bins, leaving them open as he continues his walk away from the scene.
