Robert Lewandowski has already become one of the most talked-about players ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, and it seems to have been a topic for a long time.

The 33-year-old, who turns 34 in August, has one year left on his contract and has informed Bayern Munich that he would like to leave the club.

On Wednesday, the Bild newspaper revealed a situation from the Bayern dressing room, as the striker was reportedly upset.

Lewandowski had a telephone conversation and, although it was in Polish, the teammates heard him repeat the term ‘Barcelona‘.

The teammates, due to the language, did not understand the content of the conversation, although they did understand some of the words.

Lewandowski said ‘FC Barcelona‘ over and over again,” said the source who revealed the scene.

This scene exemplifies what could happen in the coming months, depending on how the negotiations for the departure of the Pole go.

Lewandowski’s farewell

The conversation took place days before Bayern‘s match against Wolfsburg. It is worth remembering that after this match, in which Lewandowski scored, he addressed the fans in what appeared to be a farewell.

Moreover, after the game, Lewandowski made clear that it could have been his last game in a Bayern shirt.

Lewandowski has one more year left on his contract, which expires in June 2023, but Bayern are not prepared to sell him.

Barcelona will therefore have to negotiate his arrival, and he is a priority for the Catalan giants as they look to reinforce their forward line.
