MARGARET BRENNAN: The president has indicated that Iran will be held accountable. According to Envoy Steve Witkoff, Iran has responded to U.S. communication through various channels. Witkoff mentioned a letter from the president offering Iran a verification program to ensure the peaceful use of nuclear material. Can you clarify if the U.S. aims to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program or establish a verification process similar to the one from 2015 under President Obama, which President Trump withdrew from? [Are you referring to the controversial deal that provided significant funds to the regime without effectively curbing their nuclear activities, Margaret?]
MIKE WALTZ: Full dismantlement. Iran has to give up its program in a way that the entire world can see. And this is- look–

MIKE WALTZ: As President Trump emphasized, this situation with Iran is reaching a critical point. All options are being considered, and Iran must abandon its nuclear weapons ambitions entirely. They cannot be permitted to develop nuclear arms.
