Can Poppy Save ‘Mythic Quest’? New Exclusive Clip From Season 4 Finale Teases Her Hopeful Return

Mythic Quest Season 4 could mark the end of an era.

A lot of changes have come to Mythic Quest this season. Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao) has gotten pregnant and is considering starting a new, calmer life with the father of her child in the Netherlands. Ian (Rob McElhenney) also publicly resigned as creative director, leaving Mythic Quest in the hands of its neurotic executive producer, David Brittlesbee (David Hornsby). So, what could this mean for the fate of the game?

Well, according to a new exclusive clip shared with DECIDER, the Season 4 finale will show Poppy returning to MQ.

In the clip, David shows Brad (Danny Pudi), Rachel (Ashly Burch), and Dana (Imani Hakim) a demo of the highly anticipated Elysium expansion pack. Brad, who is rarely ever impressed, even calls it “perfect.”

“The monetization opportunities are endless, there’ll be no stopping us,” Brad says in the clip. “We’ll be like Catholic priests in a souped up ice cream truck that can do 200 miles an hour and out-run the cops.”

“I wouldn’t say that. In fact, don’t say that,” David responds. But David has to stay on Brad’s good side because he’s going to need all the help he can get to “razzle dazzle” the execs who are coming down from Toronto.

Luckily for him, he manages to flex his “effective leadership” and convince Poppy to stay at MQ. With Elysium rolling out, David will need all the help he can get to keep the game afloat.

Was it the most ethical option? Not really. “You tricked a pregnant woman into staying at work instead of being with the father of her unborn child?” Brad points out in the clip.

But MQ is at a crossroads at the end of Season 4.

Will Ian return to the studio? It’s rare for an expansion roll out to go smoothly at MQ, what are the chances Elysium will blow up in Poppy and David’s face? Though Brad appears hopeful about the money they’ll be raking in from this new feature, will there even still be a game without Ian and Poppy involved?

David may be convinced that he got Poppy to return to the studio. But Poppy was faced with a conundrum she’s had to deal with before on the show: Should she stay or should she go?

The Mythic Quest Season 4 finale airs Wednesday, March 23, on Apple TV+. Scroll up to check out our exclusive clip from the Season 4 finale.
