The one thing that truly stood out about this nation from its founding is the principle of being able to freely criticize our government and those who lead the government (and, by extension, people who serve in the capacity to make things operate as smoothly as possible).
That also extends to the process of electing people and examining why it happened and how it happened.
Most of the analysis I have come across has been paper tissue feelings that Hitler 2.0 is back in the White House. There has not been much serious discussion that I have found other than that people didn’t know how bad Trump was or how good Harris was.
Here is just a brief example of what I have seen:
While that may be true to some extent, what the party has failed to recognize is that it has a chronic messaging problem. Some of the political insiders it dispatches to speak to voters are out of touch with the realities on the ground regarding the everyday struggles of rural and urban America. They have no clear-cut message to captivate supporters who are willing to rally around its national candidates.
Yet before Joe Biden was thrown under the bus and before Nancy Pelosi and George Clooney put their feet on his behind to kick him out, the Dems’ messaging was shoddy at best. Having a guy who was unable to complete a coherent thought and being the leader of the free world should have terrified those closest to him.

Trump administration ICE interior arrests of illegal aliens inside the US has already surpassed all of Biden’s ICE interior arrests in all of Fiscal Year 2024. In Trump’s first 50 days in office from January 20th through March 10th, the Trump administration ICE has made 32,809 arrests of illegal aliens in the interior of the US. This almost matches all of Biden ICE interior arrests in FY 2024, which were about 33,300.
Officials say in the last two days since March 10th, the Trump ICE arrests are now above this number.
Lastly, the simple fact of the matter is people had seen enough of Joe Biden and his administration over four years, and the country had gotten worse. Even though the Democrats have relied heavily on the mainstream media for the last 40 years, enough factors and venues providing different voices and options crept into mainstream America and allowed voters to see beyond the traditional venues of delivering information.
Here is the killer line
A new party is needed.
However, I encourage you to continue on that path for as long as possible.
