Without any explanation, the wrestling company WWE reported that the “Money in the Bank 2022” event will change venue, although it will keep its date and will be held next July 2.

The Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders, was the stage that was initially destined to receive the WWE superstars, but at the last minute everything changed.

Now it will be the MGM Grand Garden Arena the site where “Money in the Bank 2022” will be held, one of the most anticipated events of the year by fans of the American brand.

Allegiant Stadium hosted more than 51 thousand fans at SummerSlam 2021

In 2021, the NFL team’s stadium was the venue that hosted the SummerSlam show, where more than 51,000 fans sold out the August show last year. The stadium’s capacity for a soccer game is 65,000 spectators, and can be expanded to almost 72,000.

Although it is not official, it is mentioned that the low ticket sales for Money in the Bank forced the change of venue, as according to WrestleTix just over 16,000 tickets had been sold as of May 1.

The MGM Grand Garden will hold less than 20,000 spectators, and fans who purchased tickets for Allegiant Stadium will be the first to have to purchase them for the new venue; all will receive a refund from TicketMaster.

It is still unknown who will be the participants

Even Hell in a Cell, which will take place on June 5 in Rosemont, Illinois, has yet to take place.

It was mentioned that Roman Reigns and Riddle would be the protagonists of the main event, although Cody Rhodes could be present after his return to the company and the reception he has had.
