Trump's border czar reveals astonishing scheme for 1,400 acres of Texas land: 'I'm planning as we speak'

The new border czar under President-elect Donald Trump, Tom Homan, recently shared his intentions for utilizing over 1,400 acres of land in Texas that was given to the federal government by the state.

In an interview with Dr. Phil, who has taken a strong stance on border security, Homan discussed his plans for the 1,402-acre ranch in Starr County, acquired by Texas officials in October, which will be used for the construction of a border wall.

‘I’m currently in the process of drafting the plan. In fact, I was working on it just last night,’ said Homan, a 63-year-old former Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, during his interview on Merit TV.

He went on to praise Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s administration for its efforts to secure the southern border with Mexico – and said he would use the land as a holding area for migrants before they could be put on deportation flights.

‘The 1,400 acres of land, that saves us from acquiring the land,’ Homan said.

‘The government never buys things fast and when we do, we overpay for it, so having this from the state of Texas is great.’

The state’s Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham had suggested last month that the former ranch could be used for such deportation efforts as she announced that the state was giving the federal government ownership of the property.

‘I was brainstorming with my team, and we figured, the Trump Administration probably needs some deportation facilities because we’ve got a lot of these violent criminals that we need to round up and get the heck out of our country,’ she explained to Fox News.

‘We’re happy to make this offer and hope they take us up on it,’ she said of the land she said had been overrun with drug smuggling and human trafficking.

Buckingham now says she is pleased with Homan’s plans, and is looking forward to working with the incoming administration to secure the border.

‘For far too long, Texans and Americans have suffered from Biden’s broken border policies,’ she said in a statement to Fox News.

‘I am looking forward to working with the newly-appointed Border Czar Tom Homan in ridding our communities of violent, illegal criminal who are hurting our sons and daughters, and anticipate discussing the next steps on January 21, 2025.

‘As Texas Land Commissioner, it has been my promise to all Texans to do everything in my purview to gain complete operational control of our southern border,’ she continued.

‘It’s my hope that the leasing of this land will be able to aid the incoming Trump administration in keeping our American families safe.’

Trump had tapped Homan to lead the ‘largest’ deportation of migrants in US history when his administration takes over on January 20.

Migrants who have committed crimes while in the United States will be the first to be targeted – but Trump’s plans don’t stop there.

As DailyMail.com previously reported, Trump’s team also plans to target legal migrants, including asylum seekers and those who entered the US with humanitarian parole under the Biden Administration.

Additionally, the incoming government is seeking ways to change who is considered an American, by ending birthright citizenship guaranteed under the US Constitution.

But several liberal city leaders, including the mayors of Boston and Los Angeles, have publicly said they will resist efforts by Trump to round up undocumented immigrants who pay taxes, follow the law and made a life for themselves in the US.

‘We will continue to focus on that work and have no intention of rolling out the welcome mat for them,’ Boston mayor Michelle Wu said of her sanctuary city.

‘Reaching out to city services, whether it’s calling 911 when you need it, or taking your child to school – those are all city services that have nothing to do with immigration enforcement,’ she said of migrants.

‘And we will continue to protect our residents within those spaces.’

But Homan quickly took aim at the liberal mayor, warning her  not to ‘cross the line.’

‘She’s not very smart, I’ll give her that,’ Homan, a former police officer, told NewsMax.

‘They can not cooperate, but there are certain laws in place that they can’t cross and I hope she doesn’t cross it,’ he told Newsmax.
