More charges against Colorado funeral home owner who had remains, cremains at his home

A Colorado funeral home owner, charged with leaving a woman’s body in a hearse for over a year and improperly storing the cremated remains of at least 30 individuals, has had his arraignment postponed due to the introduction of new charges by prosecutors.

Miles Harford was set to plead to two charges of forgery, one of corpse abuse, and one of theft at a Denver court session on Monday, a hearing that had been previously delayed on four occasions.

But last week, prosecutors filed additional charges, including three more counts of abuse of a corpse and four counts of theft.

His next court date is Jan. 17.
