After five years, Demi Lovato is finally parting ways with her nose ring.
On Thursday, April 3, Lovato, aged 32, went on TikTok to announce in a fun and comedic way that she is saying goodbye to her nose piercing, a signature look of hers since 2020. In a playful video, Lovato exaggeratedly acted sad as she pretended to wipe away a fake tear. She then took out her silver nose ring, showing it off to her followers.
After removing the piercing, Lovato displayed her face without it, smiling brightly for the camera and showcasing a soft makeup look. Her makeup consisted of neatly done eyebrows, a touch of mascara, and shiny pink lips. She styled her brunette hair with a side part, keeping it sleek and straight.
Complementing her ensemble, Lovato wore dainty silver hoop earrings and black sunglasses, giving a nod to her now-retired nose piercing. To finish off her outfit, she chose a black button-up top that tied the whole look together.
“RiP to my nose ring,” she captioned the post. “I can’t believe I made a TikTok for this.”
Fans were quick to bid farewell to the singer’s piercing in the comments section. “You’ll never be forgotten 🥺,” one wrote. A second encouraged her to keep it, “Put it back! It looks so cute on you 🥰.”
A third wondered if she was taking her ring out in preparation for her nuptials with fiancé Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, writing, “That only means the wedding is coming y’all AHHHH.” (Lovato got engaged to Lutes, 34, in December 2023.)
While Lovato debuted her nose ring — pierced by Daniel Ruiz — via her Instagram story in December 2020, true Lovatics know she originally rocked a diamond stud in her nose in 2012.
Besides her nose, Lovato also has a number of ear piercings, including three lobe holes and a cartilage stud. In January 2022, she showed off an industrial bar piercing, courtesy of Ruiz.
