Jax Taylor Shares His Favorite Saying for When He Can’t Reach Orgasm During Sex

Jax Taylor openly shared details about his romantic relationships on the reality show “Vanderpump Rules,” and now, he is revealing more on his podcast, “In the Mind of a Man.”

In a recent episode, Jax Taylor, who is currently going through a divorce with Brittany Cartwright, talked about instances where he had to deceive women in the past when he knew he would not climax during intercourse.

While conversing with a sex therapist about dating and relationships, Taylor brought up the topic of men pretending to orgasm. He confessed to having done this in the past but clarified that his intentions were not to offend anyone.

“I don’t mean to fake it, but there’s just some times where you’re just like, ‘I’m not gonna get there,” said the reality star.

Then, Taylor, 45, revealed the typical phrase he tells women when he knows he won’t be able to achieve his end goal during their interaction. “… I’ll stop it early and be like, ‘You know what? I really, really like you. I don’t think we should do this right now.’ So, it takes the pressure off me,” he said.

According to Taylor, a woman believing he wanted to wait to have sex with her is better than her knowing he couldn’t reach his peak. “That’s a little more embarrassing,” he stated.

During a previous episode of his podcast, Taylor, who’s now starring in Bravo’s “The Valley,” recalled how his conservative upbringing had a significant impact on his relationship with sex.

“I didn’t lose my virginity until I was 19. I was a late bloomer,” he said.

Taylor’s relationship struggles have been on full display since he joined the “VPR” cast in 2013. Some of his biggest storylines dealt with his inability to remain faithful to his partners, including Stassi Schroeder and, of course, Cartwright, whom he married in 2019.

Elsewhere, during his latest podcast episode, the father of one opened up about cheating and shared a surprising statement.

“I’m probably gonna get a lot of flack on this one, but I personally don’t think a cheater can change,” Taylor, who cheated on Cartwright with another “Pump Rules” co-star during season 6, said. “Every girlfriend I’ve had, unfortunately, maybe one or two when I was younger, I’ve cheated on. The only time I’ve never cheated is in my marriage.”

He added: “I just felt like it was a natural thing.”

In March 2025, Taylor appeared on Bravo’s “Hot Mic” podcast and shared openly about his struggle with addiction. While speaking with a “VPR” producer, Taylor admitted he has dealt with “substance issues … primarily with cocaine” for just over two decades.

“It’s hard to say out loud,” he added before explaining he’d been using the illicit drug since he was in his early twenties.

He also revealed that, despite not having a problem with alcohol, he quit drinking altogether to help him stay on track. According to the “House of Villains” star, his cocaine use was always a direct result of his alcohol consumption.

“I can’t do cocaine without drinking,” he admitted. “So I just gave up both. I’m proud to say I’m 83 days sober right now, which is the longest I’ve ever gone in my life without either.”

A few weeks later, Taylor updated his Instagram followers, letting them know he’d reached 100 days of sobriety.

“100 days down and the rest of my life to go,” he wrote.

Without alcohol, Taylor revealed dating has been a bit of a challenge for him.

“Now, for the first time in my life, I am going out, and I am going on a date with no drinking. So there’s no buffer, OK? There’s no taking the edge off,” he explained.

“I’ve been going back and forth in my head like, ‘How the hell am I going to date?’ Because I’ve already turned down a couple people because I’m not comfortable with it. Like, I don’t know what to do,” he continued before saying he’d probably switch to taking women on coffee dates.

Overall, though, Taylor’s primary focus is on his personal “rebrand” and becoming “a man of [my] word.”
