Devon Allen got to show off his tremendous speed in the Eagles preseason victory versus the Browns (21-20), and scored a 55-yard touchdown by scorching the defensive backs that were supposed to cover him. The 27-year old two-time Olympian is considered to be an even faster player than the Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill, who has long held that title in the league.

Devon Allen was able to catch a pass by Eagles’ backup Reid Sinnett, and did a hurdle celebration once he scored. After the game, he thanked the Eagles coaching staff for their trust in signing him. Although he is already a track and field phenom, Allen also has football in his blood and played for University of Oregon for three seasons (2014-17).

Devon Allen holds the third best time ever in 110m hurdles

A three-time national champion in the 110-meter hurdles (2014, 2016, 2018) and a two-time Olympian in the event, Allen placed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles in the 2020 Beijing Olympics. He was also a finalist in the 2022 World Track and Field Championships in the event. Even more impressive is the fact that he holds the third greatest time ever recorded in the 110 meter hurdles, when he ran a 12.84 and scorched his rivals at the USATF NYC Grand Prix.
