ORLANDO, Fla. – A woman from Orlando is taking legal action against a popular cookie company for allegedly persisting in sending her promotional text messages even after she had chosen to stop receiving them, as per court documents.

According to the lawsuit filed by Ashley Jimenez and others in a similar situation, Crumbl Franchising LLC is accused of disregarding customers’ requests to opt-out of receiving text message solicitations, having sent at least two messages after the woman had opted out.

The lawsuit, which is a class action suit, claims that Jimenez had informed Crumbl to cease communications on Nov. 7, 2024, but the company proceeded to send her text messages on Nov. 15 and Dec. 4 of the same year.

According to the suit, the company’s texts caused Jimenez and others “harm, including statutory damages, inconvenience, invasion of privacy, aggravation, annoyance, and violation of their statutory privacy rights.”

The lawsuit asks for a jury trial.
