Ant and Dec were forced to make an apology live on-air to viewers during the opening minutes of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! 2023.
This year, millions will watch a host of famous faces in the Australian jungle. Stars include Grace Dent, Fred Sirieix and Jamie Lynn Spears among others.
Undoubtedly, this year’s most talked about camper is political Nigel Farage. In his intro, Nigel said: “I’m known of course for politics. I’m known for Brexit. I’m a hero to some and a real villain to others.”

It was in relation to Farage where hosts Ant and Dec stopped proceedings to make a tongue-in-cheek apology to the show’s viewers. They joked: “We’d like to take this moment to apologise to all of GB News’ viewers (who will miss Farage presenting his show on the station). Sorry Keith and sorry Linda.”
They also had another little dig at his driving when he was left in the middle of the Australian Outback with TV host Josie Gibson and influencer Nella Rose. Dec observed: “is it just me or did he veer just a bit too far to the right?”
The intro in the Outback is the first time in the ITV reality TV show’s long-history that they’ve ventured to that part of Australia. Viewers have been taking to social media to give their thoughts on Farage’s opening minutes in I’m a Celeb.
On X, we saw @Recylopse joke: “Ant and Dec acknowledging the fact that GB News only has two viewers #ImACeleb.” Another I’m a Celeb fan @JackTheFact29 said: “Ant and Dec roasting GB News is a perfect way to kick off this series #ImaCeleb.”
While @ellie25577511 said: “Ant & Dec with the GB News jokes #ImACeleb.”
