Back in December 2022, Alyssa Milano expressed her concern for Britney Spears on Twitter. “Someone please go check on Britney Spears,” Milano tweeted to her 3.5 million followers. The “Charmed” star didn’t elaborate on what led her to make such a public plea. And while the tweet didn’t garner much fanfare (only racking up around 1,600 likes) it has since caught Spears’ attention.
Taking to her Instagram story on January 31, Spears wrote, “It saddens me to see things about me from people who don’t know me !!! This definitely feels like a form of bullying !!!” She continued, “Ladies, we are supposed to be rooting for one another not pulling one another down !!!” At this time, Milano hasn’t responded to Spears’ clapback.
This is far from the first time that Spears has used social media to voice her opinions. Over the past year, Spears has been rather vocal about a number of issues, including calling out her ex Kevin Federline for publicly criticizing her parenting in a since-expired Instagram story (via Marca), and even Millie Bobby Brown’s desire to play her in her biopic. Spoiler? She’s not a fan of the idea.
