Dramatic moment Ukraine kamikaze drones strike Russian missile unit behind Putin’s horror Sumy attack that killed 34

THIS is the dramatic moment Ukraine uses their kamikaze drones to destroy a Russian squadron in a giant fireball blast.

The attack was a calculated revenge strike on the twisted Russian missile unit behind the deadly Sumy attack which left 34 people dead.

Footage displays a UAV soaring over the city of Shuya in Ivanovo Oblast where Vladimir Putin’s 112th Missile Brigade were hiding following their destructive actions in Sumy on Palm Sunday.

It can be seen quickly plunging towards the ground as it collides with its intended target which is believed to have been a Russian base.

A huge fireball explosion can be seen erupting across the city followed by plumes of thick black smoke.

The specific drone model used remains unknown but preliminary information indicates it could have been an An-196 Lyutiys capable of carrying explosive warheads weighing up to 60kg.

Images circulating on social media are said to show the devastating aftermath of the strikes.

A towering warehouse was left smashed up with glass from its windows being sprawled across the street.

Trees can be seen laid out on the floor among piles of debris from the blast.

Early on Tuesday, the Ukrainians sent over at least five of their specialised drones to take part in the retaliatory blitz.

One of them had a message for the murderers scrawled across it which read: “****wits of the 112th, this is for Sumy.”

It is unclear if there were any casualties from the Russians side.

A Russian source did claim when the troops saw the “massive approach of drones” they “managed to jump out, run away.”

They confirmed that some did suffer injuries.

Russia later claimed it had shot down seven large drones in Ivanovo.

Hours earlier, Ukraine also bombarded Russia’s 448th missile brigade’s base.

The General Staff of Ukraine‘s Army confirmed the attacks were acts of retribution for the Sunday strikes.

Ukraine’s head of military intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, pinned the blame for Sumy on the 112th and the 448th missile brigades.

The Sumy attack – which deliberately targeted civilians and killed two children – was one of the most horrific of the conflict so far.

A colossal 21-ft missile slammed into the town centre as worshippers returned from church.

That was followed by another minutes later, which scattered cluster munitions amongst the rescue workers for maximum death.

Ukraine and world leaders condemned the brutal assault as a “war crime“.

Kremlin TV coldly branded the civilians killed in Sumy “collateral damage”.

As the bloody war rages on, Vlad has refused to let up on his attacks as he continues to refuse to accept a ceasefire.

Putin’s forces staged a major attack on Kherson on Wednesday which killed at least one.

During a public address regarding the city’s assault, Roman Mrochko, the head of the Kherson city military administration, found himself in a precarious situation as gunfire erupted around him.

This came after the US issued its most stern warning yet about the peace process.

US state department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said: “There will be no negotiations, no decisions, no agreements until this carnage stops.”

She added that the continuing slaughter of civilians only raises questions over who is truly committed to peace.

It comes as Trump’s top advisers are set to travel to Paris on Wednesday for talks with Europe over Ukraine and its future, the US state department said today.

US special envoys Marco Rubio and Steve Witkoff will remain in France until Friday as they look to “stop the bloodshed”, according to a statement.

The meeting comes only days after Trump publicly blasted Volodymyr Zelensky for “allowing” Russia’s invasion.

Trump told reporters: “You don’t start a war against someone 20 times your size and then hope that people give you some missiles.”

Putin is also set to discuss Ukraine when he welcomes Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in Moscow this week.

World condemns bloodthirsty Vlad over Sumy

WORLD leaders banded together to slam Putin’s vicious, deliberate attack on civilians on Sunday.

Volodymyr Zelensky led the condemnation as he said: “A terrible Russian ballistic missile strike on Sumy. And this is on a day when people go to church: Palm Sunday […] Only b***ards can do this.”

Keir Starmer added: “I’m appalled at Russia’s horrific attacks on civilians in Sumy and my thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones at this tragic time.

“President Zelenskyy has shown his commitment to peace. Putin must now agree to a full and immediate ceasefire without conditions.”

French President Emmanuel Macron said: “Everyone knows: this war was initiated by Russia alone. And today, it is clear that Russia alone chooses to continue it — with blatant disregard for human lives, international law, and the diplomatic efforts of President Trump.

“Strong measures are needed to impose a ceasefire on Russia. France is working tirelessly toward this goal, alongside its partners.

“To the victims, the wounded, and all of Ukraine that continues to resist: our solidarity, our respect, our unwavering commitment.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni commented: “I strongly condemn this unacceptable violence, which contradicts any real aspiration for peace, as promoted by President Trump, and which Italy sincerely supports along with Europe and other international partners.”

As Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs noted: “While Christians celebrate Palm Sunday, Russia has once again killed dozens of innocent civilians in Ukraine.

“This barbaric act shows Russia does not want peace. Latvia reaffirms its support for Ukraine and a just peace,” he wrote.

Lithuanian Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas: “Words cannot describe the brutality and inhumanity of Putin’s regime, which once again shows its true nature and intentions.

“Believing in their peacefulness is a trap.”
