In Florida, a 33-year-old woman has been sentenced to spend the rest of her life in prison for the murder of her father and the attempted murder of her mother. The tragic incident occurred when her parents asked her to move out of their home, prompting her to stab them before fleeing. Judge Timothy McCourt gave the verdict, ordering Christina Anne Adams to serve two consecutive life sentences in a state correctional facility for the crimes she committed against her father, Richard Langer, and her mother, Sally Langer.

After the sentencing, Fifth Judicial Circuit Chief Assistant State Attorney Walter Forgie expressed the office’s commitment to seeking justice for the victims and their families. He emphasized the importance of providing closure to those affected by the heinous act and holding the perpetrator accountable. Forgie stated that despite the challenges faced by the victims and their loved ones, the pursuit of justice had been achieved through the legal process.

The disturbing incident unfolded on September 16, 2022, leading to deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responding to a 911 call reporting a recent stabbing. The details surrounding the tragic event shocked the community and highlighted the devastating consequences of the violent outburst that took place in the family home.

Upon arriving at the scene, first responders entered a residence in the 100 block of SE 70th Terrace in Ocala, Florida. Once inside the home, deputies located two victims — an adult male and an adult female — both of whom appeared to have suffered multiple stab wounds.

“While rendering aid to both victims, Victim One, who was later identified as Richard Langer, stated to officials that his daughter stabbed them,” the release states. “A law enforcement alert bulletin was issued and shortly later, a traffic stop was conducted on Adams’ vehicle, which was also occupied by her wife.”
