An Ohio woman was arrested after being accused of kidnapping and torturing a man by pouring hot grease on him.
Indiolla Howell, aged 36, was taken into custody and housed at Lucas County Detention Center on December 13 following a report from an unidentified male victim. The victim informed law enforcement that Howell supposedly subjected him to multiple forms of assault lasting for approximately 30 minutes, as stated in an affidavit. The victim detailed the attacks, including accusations of being stabbed and slashed on various parts of his body, such as his face, arms, and torso. Additionally, the victim reported instances where Howell allegedly poured hot grease on him, ignited a coat and dripped the burning pieces on him, and struck him with a metal pan.
Howell faces four felony charges including kidnapping to terrorize or to inflict serious physical harm on the victim, aggravated arson, and assault with a weapon. She is being held on $300,00 bond, according to Toledo CBS affiliate WTOL. They also reported that the condition of the alleged victim was unknown.

No further details about Howell’s motive were given by the victim, who was the one who provided police with the information about his alleged assault. It was not specified what his relationship was to Howell. Among the details he did provide was that Howell allegedly used a “sharp instrument” to stab and slice him. It was also unclear where the assault took place, however, the affidavit stated that it happened in Toledo, which is Howell’s city of residence.
Howell remains in custody and is set to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 20.
