Arrested DUI suspect releases a rant and gets rearrested by police officers

During the early hours of Feb. 24, 2024, Palm Beach County deputies seemed inclined to release DUI suspect Christina Laboy, 46, if someone could come to pick her up. One deputy mentioned she had been driving at a speed exceeding 100 miles per hour. Despite Laboy admitting to having a glass of wine that evening, the deputies did not find enough evidence of impairment. Laboy, however, was shocked that she was being detained and suggested a racial bias was at play, noting her own race as white.

Following this, the situation spiraled as Laboy engaged in a heated argument with the police. She went on a long tirade about the deputies’ races, made references to George Floyd, called immigrants derogatory names, and repeatedly used offensive language towards the female deputy. The altercation culminated in the male deputy sustaining a minor injury to his hand.

“Don’t get in my face like that, you b—-!” she shouted at the female deputy in one representative exchange.

Laboy expressed her frustration over the phone, accusing the deputies of using race against her because she is white and insinuating bias due to the deputy being Black. She also made disrespectful remarks towards the female deputy, describing her in a derogatory manner. The deputies listened to her heated outburst as tensions escalated.

“F—ing America, you’re the f—ing minority as a white motherf—er in America,” she said. “Dumb immigrants here and you can get every f—king thing you want.”

Deputies arrested Laboy told the female deputy, “I’ll f—ing f— the s— out of you, you little f—ing douchebag.”

Sounding exasperated, the male deputy said, “all right,” and handcuffed her.

The chaos continued. Laboy struggled at length as police tried to put her in the vehicle, and she claimed the male deputy was sexually harassing her.

“Stop kicking me,” the male deputy said.

Laboy denied kicking him and demanded they loosen her handcuffs, but police considered her argumentative.

“You want to beat up a white girl,” Laboy said before the male deputy managed to shut the door on her.

“She can get one count of battery,” he said while examining his injured hand. “One count of resist and one count of corruption by threat.”

Records show that prosecutors ultimately charged her with resisting an officer with violence, and battery on a law enforcement officer. They dropped the case on Sept. 17, 2024. In exchange, Laboy had to follow a six-month pretrial intervention program.
